We enrolled our 8mo rescue pup, Kipper, into the 1st flight training at Sit Means Sit Lone Tree. Over the past 3 weeks, I’ve gained so much confidence not only in Kipper, but in myself as a first time dog mom. I think what people need to realize is that with any dog training program, the real training is within ourselves. I’m so grateful for Jimmy and all of the skills he has taught me throughout this experience so that I can hopefully provide Kip with the best life possible. My ultimate goal is for Kip to lead a life full of adventure, where he can be trusted to make good decisions and have fun. While the road ahead is a long one full of daily training sessions with our new family of 3, I wouldn’t have even known how to begin without Jimmy’s expertise and guidance. I highly recommend scheduling that initial consultation, and having an open mind – especially if you have a pup that’s a bit more stubborn and needs more structure than a few treats can provide. Thank you guys so so much.

Evan and Jimmy did a great job with our pup! He was a nervous anxious mess whenever we left the house. He struggled to listen and focus. My dog is very strong and smart so it was important that we got his issues under control. With their help we now have an amazing relationship with our dog and he’s much happier when he works all day.

There is still work to do (probably more on my part) but he’s a completely different and happier dog which makes us all happier.

Thank you for everything and your commitment to helping Duke thrive!

Jimmy and his team have truly transformed both my 1.5-year-old Bernedoodle and my life. What once felt like an impossible uphill battle—dealing with aggression, challenging behavior, and constant frustration—was met with patience, expertise, and genuine care. Jimmy not only helped strengthen the bond between my pup and me but also gave my pup a better quality of life. The progress we’ve experienced is nothing short of incredible, and I will wholeheartedly recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone I know. Any future dogs I have will be coming here as well. Thank you, Jimmy and team, for everything!

When I first walked into this program with my bully breed, Doja, I was honestly at a breaking point. Her reactivity left me feeling hopeless, scared, and unsure if things could ever change. But from the very first introduction, I knew we were in the right hands.

The trainers didn’t just “work” with my dog, they truly saw her. They pinpointed exactly what was going on beneath the surface, and for the first time, I felt like someone understood both her and me. Their insight into her psyche and behavior was eye-opening, and they gave me the confidence to believe in her again.

Each week built on the last, and with every single class, Doja made progress. By the end of the 5-week program, she was a different dog: calmer, more trusting, and more connected. The transformation wasn’t just in her; it was in me, too. They taught me how to build trust, how to communicate better, and how to truly partner with her.

The staff went above and beyond. Patient, compassionate, and so committed to our success. They spent time reviewing techniques with me in detail so I could practice at home, and they never made me feel judged or overwhelmed. Instead, they empowered me.

I can’t even put into words the gratitude I feel. This program gave me back my hope and gave Doja the chance she deserves to live her best life. They didn’t just change my dog… they changed our story.

If you’re feeling stuck or defeated, don’t give up. These people are miracle-workers, and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Doja and I are living proof that change is possible with the right guidance.

When we first enrolled Bucky at Sit Means Sit, he was struggling with successful recall and leash pulling. Evan did a great job training Bucky and also giving us the confidence to be better owners for him!

If you told me how incredibly well Tess could train our young fellow I wouldn’t have believed it,,, and my wife frequently points out how gullible I am. It has been such a rewarding and exciting journey! I’m in awe! Job well done Tess and the whole crew at Sit Means Sit!

I firmly believe that Tess and Sit Means Sit is doing the Lord‘s work! I don’t know where we would be with our six month old golden doodle puppy without her. I will tell everyone I know going forward that gets a puppy to invest the money and the time with these guys!

We’ve had an absolutely amazing experience with this training facility. Donovan and Jimmy are very knowledgeable, kind, and patient trainers who worked so incredibly well training our dogs as well as training us! Our 10 year old dog has learned to break lifelong bad habits and our lives have been so much easier since dog training started. It is honestly close to a miracle that we can get our timid, shy dog to get comfortable around walking, following our lead, etc. I can’t thank them enough and I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for dog training. It was worth every penny!! You will not regret choosing this facility.

Kiera’s Story:

Before Training with Sit Means Sit: Kiera was a rescue dog we took in when she was only 10 weeks old. Right when she turned 9 months, she began fighting with and injuring our first dog, a 30 lb beagle named Hollie. Kiera, weighing in at 55+ lbs, would turn on Hollie at a moment’s notice, turning our household upside down.

My husband and I had to carefully monitor both dogs to make sure that they were securely separated at all times. It was a horrible time to deal with, as we wanted them to be friends and be good company for each other. It got so bad that my husband ended up getting injured while trying to separate one of the many dogfights when Kiera broke out of her secure area. We began looking at different shelters and organizations who would be willing to take her in, for fear that she would seriously hurt or kill Hollie.

That’s when I found ‘Sit Means Sit’. From the very first visit to our house, Luke was so reassuring and had full confidence in his system. He assured me that, if we stuck with his program, Kiera would become a well behaved pet and would be controllable. I was so skeptical, but we were out of options and decided to give it a try. After Training with Sit Means Sit: We saw changes in Kiera from the very first lesson. She finally began to take us seriously as her owners, and realized that we meant business.

After our individual classes had been completed, we had a perfectly well behaved, sweet natured dog who finally had a way to control her endless energy. Now, the two dogs play together on a daily basis and we have not had one single incident since ‘Sit Means Sit’ entered our lives. We can take her to the dog park or out on a trail anytime we want to, and know without a bit of doubt that she will always come when called, leave it when we ask her to, and obey us 100%. It is the greatest feeling in the world, and has enabled our family to come together more than I thought would be possible. If your dog has an issue, they can solve it and I am so grateful to Sit Means Sit for that.

10/10 recommend Sit Means Sit! Our labsky rescue, Aura, struggles with anxiety, reactivity, and lacked training/socialization. We were paired with Tessa and she recommended the first flight package for Aura. Within three sessions, she is doing great with place, come, sit, and heel. She also has more confidence and is able to pass other dogs calmly on trails. She still has some more work to do but thanks to Tessa and DJ, we have all of the tools for success. Thank you to the team at Sit Means Sit! 🙂
